2. Screen Recording

Screen recording occurs only when initiated by the user. All recordings are processed and stored locally on the user’s device. The extension does not upload screen recordings to any server.

3. Local Processing Only

All functionality, including video processing and audio handling, occurs entirely on the user's device. No remote servers are contacted or used.

4. Third-Party Sharing

W_Rec does not share any data with third parties. No advertising, tracking, or analytics systems are included.

5. Permissions

The extension requests only the minimal permissions necessary:

• tabCapture – to allow user-initiated screen recording
• activeTab – to initiate recording on the active tab after user interaction
• scripting – for temporary scripts required to support recording utilities
• offscreen – for isolated audio/video processing during recording

These permissions operate only after user interaction and are never used for tracking or data extraction.
